創作背景：這首典雅優美的古典樂曲是作者所作的「康塔塔」，（17世紀由詠嘆調和宣敘調交替構成的獨唱曲)中最廣泛流傳的一首。含蓄而富有詩意的歌詞，描繪了紫羅蘭「含珠帶露，亭亭玉立」於「半隱半現」之中的姣美可愛。
